• Making A Difference, One Five At A Time!

High Fives for Hope strives to honor and assist Spotlight Survivors through donations at our events and on our website. These people are living with cancer and we High Fivers do not want their struggle to go unnoticed. All of the donations given during this year’s 5K Race for Hope’s post-race benefit concert will help support our newest Spotlight Survivor, Leya Parker, as she battles Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).

Leya Parker has braved many challenging treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation, and has recently had a stem cell transplant at Shands Cancer Hospital, University of Florida, in Gainesville, Florida. The battle has not been easy but Leya remains in good spirits and continually smiles for the camera. The love of her family and friends have been a constant in her battle. A blog of Leya’s story is at lparkerblog.com and it is here where she states,

“So many people have touched my heart every single day since I got sick. I cannot express my gratitude for the immense support and love everyone has given to me. It is my friends, family and even people that I have never met that make me say every day, “I can do this, and I will win the race”. Thank you!

Leya is currently in Gainesville regaining her strength to return to her beach home. Your support for her and her family can “Make a Difference One High Five at a Time!”
